Haiti update #3

I have been in petit goave for 2 days. It was a very moving place for the whole group and we all found it much nicer than port au prince. Our guest house here in port au prince is really nice its on a methodist campus with church and school... We do also have a swimming pool. This is a big contrast to the outside areas which despite having a large amount of community spirit also has a lot of rubbish in the main road. Driving rules are a bit chaotic but our driver jonny is an amazing driver and can reverse into any space. 

Petit goave had no wifi but that was quite cleansing in a way. A struggle for me. I was a bit unwell when i was in petit goave, i have been having a pain in my left side so it was decided i should have a ultrasound. This was an interesting experience we got local rates for it and it wasnt too disimilar to the uk except it all happened within 5 hours something you would never get in the uk. I am ok but it has been suggested i see a doctor when i get home as its manageable at the moment. 

Today saturday 29th july we went to a beach resort for a break from mission and learning. It was so enjoyable. A reminder we are in the Caribbean after all. 

I will update on Monday again.
